Stuart Mackenzie
Stuart has worked in Financial Services since 1996 and is our Director at Miles Rhodes Mortgages. Based near Dereham in Norfolk, he has almost 30 years of experience across mortgages, financial services and insurance.
Having grown up around the Swaffham area, Stuart has strong roots in Mid Norfolk and knows the local area and property market extremely well. He began his career with a major insurance company as a Financial Adviser, looking after clients across Swaffham, Necton, Watton and the surrounding Norfolk villages.
Stuart went on to specialise in mortgages and Private Medical Insurance, developing extensive knowledge of both markets. He spent a number of years specialising in Private Medical Insurance, working with both individual and business clients, before concentrating increasingly on mortgages and property finance.
Today, Stuart spends much of his time running Miles Rhodes Mortgages and supporting the firm’s team of mortgage and protection advisers. However, he still enjoys advising clients himself and particularly values the long-term relationships he has built with clients over many years.
Stuart provides mortgage advice for First Time Buyers, home movers and clients looking to remortgage. He can also help with more complex mortgage requirements, including capital raising, debt consolidation, Buy to Let and cases where a client’s circumstances may not fit straightforward high-street lending criteria.
With decades of experience and an in-depth understanding of the mortgage market, Stuart can also assist with complex mortgages, Commercial Mortgages and Bridging Finance, helping clients explore solutions where more specialist lending may be required.
Whether somebody is buying their first home, moving house, reviewing their existing mortgage or raising money from their property for home improvements, debt consolidation or investment, Stuart’s approach is to make the process as straightforward as possible. He takes the time to explain the available options clearly and supports his clients throughout the mortgage process.
Over the years, Stuart has built a loyal client base, with much of his business coming from existing clients and personal recommendations. With nearly three decades in financial services and strong roots in the area, Stuart is well known locally as an experienced mortgage market expert and has appeared on local television discussing mortgages, interest rates and property-related issues.
Based in Swanton Morley near Dereham, Stuart works with clients throughout Dereham, Swaffham, Watton, Necton and across Norfolk, as well as helping clients elsewhere in the UK.
Away from work, Stuart enjoys spending time with his family, playing squash and following Norwich City. He also has what some might describe as a questionable enthusiasm for old indie music.
